Hello friends, I have some great news as we proceed to reopen the Church's Building again for LIMITED ministry. We feel it is time to resume Sunday morning services.
Assuming that all goes as planned, we are going to officially have our first LIMITED in-building service Sunday, August 9, at 11am. Regulations require that everyone (except those exempt) MUST bring a mask and wear it throughout the service. We will try to have a pack of spare disposable masks available if you forget. We are keeping the services brief and encourage you to avoid using the bathroom - if possible, BUT the foyer washroom is available if needed. Basement will be entirely off-limits at this time.
Chairs in the auditorium will be arranged to allow for all sizes of 'personal bubbles' to sit together, from singles, pairs, trios, right up to 10 if needed. Please respect the physical distancing laws (6') and be watchful of your children. There will be an "giving station" available as passing a plate is not permitted at this time. Online giving is also available at newhopecommunity.ca or E-transfer: email@example.com
HOST A WATCHING PARTY... If you have been enjoying services at home or with others, please feel welcomed to continue to do so for the time being as we are only permitted a limited number of people inside. If you are an AT RISK person, or concerned about catching a 'BUG', please stay home. If you or those you bring are feeling any flu-like symptoms please stay home. Seating will be limited to about 40-50 people. That means IF we are surprised by a crowd, we may be forced to turn some away. There will be no children or nursery ministry at this time.
Hand sanitizer stations will be present. Be conscientious of others. Volunteers are making extra effort to make this work, and we request your patience as we learn to do it well. Remember some people cannot wear a mask for various medical reasons. DO NOT assume that just because someone is not wearing a mask, they are being disrespectful of the health of others. If you CANNOT wear a mask and wish to attend, you agree not sing or shout. Be aware the ushers have the responsibility to refuse entry to anyone who displays obvious COVID-19 symptoms.
One last thing - a DISCLAIMER. While we do what we can to minimize health risk to everyone, the reality is that your health is ultimately your own responsibility primarily. By attending the service, you signify that you accept that risk and will not hold the church or any individual liable.
God is good... looking forward to seeing many of you soon
